OUR STORY
Hey y’all! My name is Kristen and I am the founder of Girls Go Shred. In 2015 I was the only woman working at EDGE of the WORLD snowboard shop in Banner Elk, North Carolina. Being relatively new to the area, I didn’t know many snowboarders and I was sick of always riding with the guys (no offense boys). I realized it was pretty rare to see a group of women riding together at the mountain, so I figured it was time for a change. I enlisted the help of EDGE of the WORLD and planned a ladies ride night at Sugar Mountain. The women of the area turned out and Girls Go Shred was born. We have since branched out from ride days to on-snow demos, event sponsorships, and park camps. Check out our events page to see what is coming up! |
